Board of Public Works holds first of several water rate hearings

Wayland Town Crier 5/1/12: Board of Public Works holds first of several water rate hearings. The Board of Public Works held a public hearing Monday night on water rates slated to go into effect this September. “We wanted to do our analysis early this year,” said board member Michael Wegerbauer, “and we expect to have several more of these meetings in the coming months.” Input from Wayland residents came mostly from low-end users who felt the $112 annual administrative fee, which is the same for everyone, fell disproportionately on them.
