Wayland Town Crier 4/8/12: Wayland resident named finalist for Student Leader of the Year. Kush Bhagat, a member of Wayland High School’s Class of 2012, was one of the 24 student leaders from across the country who were the finalists for the Student Leader of the Year Award sponsored by the Student Leadership Training Program. Bhagat was recognized for his contributions to his school and to his community with a Student Leader of Merit Award, as well as a scholarship and special grants.
