WCVB Boston 4/5/12: State Battling Spreading Brush Fires. A military helicopter was brought in to help battle a large brush fire that broke out in Brimfield on Wednesday, and Wayland firefighters were on the scene of a blaze early Thursday as Massachusetts suffers from a lack of rain and dangerously dry conditions. Fire crews responded to a blaze in a wooded area off Stone Bridge Road in the Oak Hill section of Wayland.
