Wayland Town Crier 3/23/12: Town Meeting preview: Proposal to elect Finance Committee. Voters at Town Meeting beginning on April 9 will consider an article submitted by petitioners for Finance Committee members to be elected rather than appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The seven members of the FinCom are in unanimous opposition of the article, while the selectmen have yet to take a position. The lead petitioners are Donna Bouchard, who was also a petitioner for an article releasing some of the town’s free cash at special Town Meeting last November, and Andrea Wagner.
