Wayland Patch 3/16/12: Girls Scouts Celebrate Organization’s Centennial. Wayland Girl Scouts joined scouts from around the world at 7:12 p.m. Monday night for an international recognition of the Girl Scouts’ 100th anniversary. Wayland Girl Scouts, both past and current, gathered at Wayland High School Monday evening for the event. Obar said the festivities included a “fashion show” of Girl Scout uniforms from years past, over-the-top scout-inspired cupcakes, and a singalong of “Happy Birthday” complete with light sticks instead of candles.
