Wayland Town Crier 3/9/12: Seedy business has local Wayland roots. Some grown kids return home for a visit bearing bags of laundry. But the Greenes of Wayland know that when their son Ken arrives, he is sure to bring envelopes of seeds and tiny pots of sprouting seedlings. Each bears a fanciful name from old varieties that might have filled local farmers’ fields a hundred years ago – Sparkler Radishes, Tiger Paw Asters, Jenny Lind Melons, and Mammoth Long Island Dill are just a sampling.
