BEACH BUDDIES- Summer Program, Ages: 3.6 – 5.6 years
DATES: 7 Weeks – June 18 – August 3, Program Hours: 9:00am – 1:00pm
Program Location: Wayland Town Beach
Director — Minimum Qualifications:
- Early Childhood, Recreation or Elementary Education Degree
- 2-year experience in supervisory role
- administration skills
- good communication, organizational and problem solving skills.
Assistant Teachers – Minimum Qualifications:
- Early Childhood, Recreation, or Elementary Education Degree preferred.
- Experience in preschool day program setting preferred.
SUMMER ADVENTURE -Summer Day Program – Entering grades K – 5
Dates: June 25 – August 10, Time: 8:30am – 3:00pm, Location: Wayland Middle School
- Assistant Director – Minimum qualifications – college student or higher level with 2 – 3 years of summer day program/camp experience. Supervision and administrative skills preferred.
- Specialists positions- Art, Sports, and Science/Music/Drama: Minimum qualifications – college or higher level majoring in Recreation, Education, or Sports Management. Experience working with children grades K-5 in the special position applying for.
- Senior Counselors: Minimum age: 17 years – High School senior or higher. Experience working with children grades K – 5. Summer day program experience preferred.
WAYLAND ESCAPES -Summer Day Program – Entering grades 6 – 8
Dates: June 25 – August 3 Time: 8:30am – 3:30pm Location: Wayland Middle School
Counselors
- Minimum age: 17 years
- High School senior or higher level.
- Experience working with children in grades 6 – 8.
WAYLAND TOWN BEACH
Dates: Pre-season weekend starting Memorial Day; Full time operation June 16 – mid-August
- Head Guards – Minimum qualifications: Age 18 or older, college student or higher level. Current Red Cross certifications required: Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid. 2 – 3 years waterfront setting with supervisory and administrative skills preferred.
- Water Safety Instructor – Minimum qualifications: Age 18 or older, High school senior or higher level. Current Red Cross certifications required: WSI (Water safety Instructor (or 2 yrs. lesson teaching experience), Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid. Experience with teaching swim lessons preferred.
- Lifeguards- Part Time – Minimum qualifications: Age 16. Current Red Cross certifications required: LGT (Lifeguard), WSI (recommended), CPR/First Aid. Lifeguard experience preferred.
