Wayland Town Crier 2/4/12: Wayland girls swim to DCL title. The unbeaten Wayland girls swimming and diving team secured its fifth straight Dual County League Meet championship before it even recorded a first-place finish. Before the meet’s last two events last night at the Atkinson Pool, the Warriors had built a commanding 183-point lead. Only then, did the Warriors finish first in a race when freshman Molly Pierce won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:08.06. The Warriors then closed the meet by winning the 400 freestyle relay with Pierce, her sister Megan, Hallie Cramer, and Saya Higano (who also finished fourth in the 100 breaststroke) sealing the victory with a total of 630 points.
