Wayland Town Crier 12/20/11: Police say bicyclist at fault for crash in Wayland. A bicyclist who collided with a SUV on Sunday appears to be the one at fault, police said. The bicyclist, who police did not name, swerved in front of a Honda Pilot at 5:20 p.m. near Mahoney’s Garden Center on Rte. 20, Lt. Patrick Swanick said. The 47-year-old man suffered a head injury and was flown to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. “From what I understand, he’s doing fine,” Swanick said. The driver of the Pilot said he couldn’t stop in time when the bicyclist abruptly swerved in front of him.
Swanick said the driver will not be cited.
