Wayland home gutted by fire

MetroWest Daily News 12/4/11: Wayland home gutted by fire. Firefighters battled a blaze that destroyed a home nestled into a nook on Dudley Pond last night. Capt. David Haughton said that when his department arrived at 123 Dudley Road at about 7 p.m. the home was fully engulfed in flames. The 686-square-foot home sits in a remote location near Dudley Pond. The road leading up to the home is narrow and curved, and the home itself is on a downward slope, factors that made it difficult for firefighters trying to get to the home quickly.
