Wayland Police arrested a Natick defense lawyer after they say the woman sped through the police station parking lot on Sunday and crashed into a drainage ditch while driving drunk. Deborah J. Downs, 42, who frequently works in Framingham District Court as a defense lawyer, told police she was not drinking prior to the 9:15pm crash. She refused to take any roadside sobriety tests or a Breathalyzer, Wayland Police Officer Sean Fitzgerald said in a report filed in court yesterday.
