Wayland Police are seeking help from anyone in the public who may have witnessed a hit and run accident at the intersection of Routes #30/27 this morning at 11:25 A.M. 

A truck, described as a roll-off dumpster, maroon or reddish brown in color, struck the traffic signals at the intersection causing extensive damage to the signals and causing the loss of power to the traffic signal equipment.  This resulted in a traffic jam for vehicles travelling on Commonwealth Road (Route #30) and Main Street (Route #27).  The truck left the area without stopping.
