WayCAM’s “Did You Know” Community Outreach project includes a survey and a raffle

“Did You Know?”  That’s the theme of  WayCAM’s new community outreach project this Fall, and it’s premiering at Special Town Meeting on November 17 at the Middle School.

Did you know WayCAM is moving to a brand new studio on January 1st? Did you know WayCAM produced 549 original programs this year…teaches TV and video production to over 100 students…has awarded 7 scholarships in 4 years…has an archive of over 850 of  its community programs for  you, On-Demand at www.waycam.tv… and will invest $650,000 over the next 10 years to build and expand our service to Wayland.

With our new state-of-the-art studio, WayCAM is creating a Community Media Center for Wayland. It’s a place where any resident of Wayland, adults, seniors, students, can discover a new hobby, learn TV and video, operate a TV camera, produce a show, become a TV personality, and communicate with the residents of Wayland through our own public access TV and Website at WayCAM.tv.

As we prepare for our move, WayCAM wants to know more about your needs, so we can do a better job.  This is an ideal moment to take stock, learn how we can improve existing WayCAM services, and to find out what new services and programming the Wayland community would find valuable. We need your feedback for how we can better serve the Wayland community.

We will be distributing a survey at Special Town Meeting. Please take one and fill it out. Your feedback will heavily influence WayCAM's actions, plans and initiatives. Return it when you leave that night, and you may choose one of two free gift options. And you are also invited to enter to win a 32-inch Panasonic LCD TV, or a 27” computer monitor. The Wayland Business Association has generously donated this valuable gift to a lucky Wayland resident, in support of WayCAM’s “Did You Know?” project.

If you are unable to attend Special Town Meeting, you can find the survey at this Website, https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WayCAM. Complete the survey and you can qualify for the free gift and the LCD TV. But we must receive your online reply by Sunday, November 20th at Midnight.

So take this opportunity to help us learn more about what you want, so we can do a better job. And a warm ‘thank you’ to the wonderful, community focused business people of the Wayland Business Association (www.waylandbusinessassociation.org) for helping make this project successful.

On behalf of the entire Board of Directors and staff of WayCAM,
Thank you,
Ken Isaacson
President, and Chair, WayCAM
