Boston Globe 10/30/11: On taxes, a push for some cash back. Some Wayland residents say the town is padding its coffers by overtaxing property owners – and they want a chunk of the money back. Nearly 400 residents signed a petition calling for a Special Town Meeting to take up a warrant article that would lower the tax rate. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17 in the Wayland Middle School gymnasium.
