Wayland and Weston schools perform strongly on MCAS

Wayland Town Crier 9/29/11: Wayland and Weston schools perform strongly on MCAS. The Wayland and Weston school systems are still performing quite well on the statewide MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) tests, as shown in the most recent results from last spring. In Wayland, 89 and 80 percent of the students scored proficient or advanced in English Language Arts and math, respectively. In Weston, the corresponding numbers were 88 and 81 percent. Statewide, the averages were 69 and 58 percent.
