SPORTS ZONE 101. Thursdays for 8 weeks! This class is for sports lovers who dream of being a sports announcer!

Discuss what is happening in the local sports scene and each week choose a pack of sports cards of your favorite team. Public speaking skills be honed as children speak on camera about baseball playoffs, the Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins. Develop math skills by calculating batting averages and earned run averages. In the 4th week step before the camera and be videotaped talking about current sports events. Videos will be edited and shown the following week. The Sports Zone owners produce a sports show for local cable, and our students will participate in that. Activities related to current sporting events will round out the class, and each week participants will receive prizes as the lucky winners to sports questions.
