Wayland Patch 9/1/11: School Committee Appoints New Youth Advisory Committee Member. The School Committee Monday night appointed Jane Purser the newest member of Wayland’s Youth Advisory Committee. The seven-person committee has for years included two high school student representatives in addition to representatives appointed by the Wayland Police Department, Board of Selectmen, School Committee, Board of Health and the Wayland Clergy Association. Selectmen appointed Jim Forti, retired youth officer with the Wayland Police Department, at their April 25 meeting.
