WCVB TV 8/6/11: Patrick Nominates Judge For Mass. Appeals Court. Gov. Deval Patrick has nominated Superior Court Judge Peter Agnes for a seat on the state appeals court. Agnes, a Wayland resident, once served as chief of operations to Gov. Michael Dukakis and later as an assistant state secretary of public safety. Agnes has been a Superior Court judge since 2000 and last year was named the regional administrative judge for Worcester.
