Wayland Town Crier 8/4/11: Working continues on plan to protect Wayland's water. Wayland’s Board of Public Works recently accepted comments on a draft of the town’s Wellhead Protection Plan, submitted on June 30 by the now-dissolved Wellhead Protection Committee. The report runs to 86 pages and 14 appendices, covering contamination risks, wellhead protection areas, potential sources of contamination, management strategies, and action plans for all eight of the town’s wells.
