Preview of Board of Selectmen Meeting for Monday, July 11

The Board of Selectmen will meet on Monday, July 11 in Town Building.

Selectmen will convene in the Selectmen's Meeting Room and pause to reflect on the death of Lauren Astley and the impact of the tragedy on our community.  The Board will review support services available to citizens and review community and observances that have been planned throughout this week.

After reviewing the agenda and receiving public comment, Selectmen will conduct interview Jerry Boos, a candidate for reappointment to the Zoning Board of Appeals and Gretchen Ryder Sharry, a candidate for appointment to the Historical Commission.  Representatives of the Organization for Assabet, Concord and Sudbury Rivers will make a presentation on its work to protect these resources and Wayland artists Daniel Balter and Peter Vazquez will discuss their idea for an Eco-Art Lab/Artist-in-Residence program.

After considering the consent calendar and reviewing correspondence, the Board will hear the weekly report of the Town Administrator featuring an update on current projects and programs and a preview of agenda topics for the next several meetings.  Before offering their reports and concerns, Selectmen will vote on appointments, discuss the proposed modification of the cost allocation agreement for Minuteman Regional Vocational-Technical High School, and approve a letter endorsing the proposed change in municipal representation on the Boston metropolitan planning organization.

The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Selectmen’s Meeting Room.
