Boss: Wayland victim ‘fearful’ of suspect

Boston Herald 7/7/11: Boss: Wayland victim ‘fearful’ of suspect. Murdered Wayland teen Lauren Astley was bothered by repeated phone calls and text messages from her jilted ex-boyfriend in the hours before authorities say he strangled her with a bungee cord, cut her throat and dumped her in a marsh, her employers told the Herald yesterday. Astley, 18, complained to co-workers Sunday that ex-boyfriend Nathaniel Fujita, 18, was lighting up her cell phone with numerous calls and texts as she worked at Shop344, a trendy boutique for young women at Natick Collection. Store manager Maeghen Reineke, 26, said Fujita wanted to come to the store and speak to her there.
