Wayland Beach 6/29/11: Wayland Town Beach Closed Today, June 29. The Wayland Town Beach is closed today as the state conducts weed removal. Linda Hamilton with the Wayland Recreation Department said she believes pulling and some chemicals are being used to help control milfoil, an invasive aquatic weed plaguing Lake Cochituate.

Hamilton said the Town Beach is expected to reopen tomorrow, June 30.
