Wayland Summer Farmers’ Market opens June 22

The Wayland Summer Farmers’ Market opens for it seventh season on the grounds of Russell’s Garden Center in Wayland on Wednesday June 22. It will be open every Wednesday from 12:00-5:00 pm through the middle of October. The market is a wonderful opportunity to buy fresh produce and lots more while supporting local farmers.

The expanded market includes new vendors who will be offering more products including gelato, fresh fish, pork and goat cheese.  The selection features fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits, bread and baked goods, granola, fresh pasta, root beer, jams and relishes, eggs, locally raised beef, cheese, and more. On the Edge Knife Sharpening is returning to hone your knives as well as sharpen some of your garden tools on a once a month schedule. Come by each week and head home with everything you need for a fabulous dinner! Guest vendors will have sauces, yarn and more products. The market will be set up in the back parking lot area at Russell’s. Come by to shop, purchase lunch from Whole Foods and then top it off with gelato or sorbet for dessert.
