17th Annual Positive Spin for ALS, June 12 at Longfellow in Wayland

POSTPONED until September due to weather.

The 17th Annual Positive Spin for ALS takes place on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the Longfellow Club in Wayland, MA.  This bicycling event makes a big difference in the fight against ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Participants pay a $75 registration fee for this ride to defeat ALS.  Participants will receive event t-shirt, lunch, stocked rest stops every 4-10 miles, first aid, bike repair, support vehicles and fundraising awards. The ALS Association Massachusetts Chapter hopes all participants will raise additional donations through fundraising. Through care, advocacy, research, education and support we work to empower those with ALS to live fuller lives.  Every year, we invest millions of dollars in research conducted by the best and brightest scientists in the world. As the only national not-for-profit health organization dedicated solely to the fight against ALS, we give help and hope to those facing a devastating disease.

Positive Spin for ALS offers a ride for bicyclists of all abilities, with routes ranging from our Kids' Ride to road rides of 10, 25, 50, or 70 miles.  All participants must wear helmets during the event and are prohibited from wearing headphones.

Online Registration CLOSES Friday, June 10th at Midnight!   Walk-Up Registrations will be taken the day of the event. For more information: http://webma.alsa.org/site/TR?fr_id=7470&pg=entry.
