Wayland Town Crier 6/6/11: Unity marks Wayland High's Class of 2011. With a roar, the Class of 2011 emerged from the Commons yesterday afternoon and marched to the athletic field where they received advice, best wishes and, most importantly, their diplomas. It was the last graduation for Superintendent Gary Burton, who retires at the end of the month after 17 years.Two of the three student speakers – Class President Lauren Colwell and National Merit Scholar Daniel Lesser – spoke of the spirit of unity among the graduates.
