Stow woman pleads guilty to Wayland drunken driving charge

Wayland Town Crier 5/25/11: Stow woman pleads guilty to Wayland drunken driving charge. A woman whose blood alcohol level was almost four times the legal limit when she was stopped by police Monday on Rte. 27 pleaded guilty at her arraignment yesterday to drunken driving. Kate McManus, 50, of Stow, was allowed to plead guilty in Framingham District Court over the objection of prosecutor Dannon Spacer, who wanted another court date to have time to check on any outstanding cases or possible charges. Spacer urged Judge Douglas Stoddart to issue a guilty finding, but he continued the case without a finding for a year. McManus will lose her license for 45 days, must attend an alcohol education course and has to pay $600 in court fees.
