Weston Drama Workshop holds auditions for summer programs

Weston Drama Workshop welcomes participants of all theater ability levels and from all towns. Join with others for fun and learning in the 2011 summer programs. Auditions for “Oklahoma!” and “The Who’s Tommy” are for Evening Program participants entering grade 9 through age 23. Auditions are May 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. and May 21 at 2pm.

“Bye Bye Birdie”and “Wiley and the Hairy Man”are for Morning Program participants entering grades 6, 7, 8 and 9. Auditions for “Bye Bye Birdie”are May 21at 10 a.m. and noon, and May 22 at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Auditions for “Wiley and the Hairy Man”will be held within the program during its first week. Casting will include all registrants.

Auditions will be held at Weston Middle School (during the week) and Weston High School (on the weekend). All who wish to be considered for a named part must audition. Registrants entering grade 9 may choose either the Morning or Evening Program. Rehearsals begin in June and performances will be July 14 to 23 at Regis College Fine Arts Center, Weston.
