Wayland Flag Retirement Service May 21

On May 21st, Armed Forces Day, the Wayside Inn Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Wayland Veterans under the Wayland Veterans' Agent and Director of Veteran's Services John Turchinetz, are hosting a Flag Retirement and Disposal Service.  Participants will include Veterans, Wayland and Holliston Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts and Brownies, First Free School Chapter, Children of the American Revolution and Members of Wayside Inn Chapter, DAR.
 
The Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the Veterans' Memorial at the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland Center.  The Wayland Den 4 Webelos will be dedicating a second box that they built as a Community Service Project, to be placed at the Wayland Public Safety Building. They will also be receiving their awards for working on this badge.  The two boxes they have built are deeply appreciated by the Veterans and all Wayland Citizens who want to retire their flags respectfully.
