Police training exercises Wednesday, May 11

Wayland Police Department Press Release May 5, 2011 Advisory.  On Wednesday May 11th, the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council’s Rapid Response and SWAT teams will be conducting training exercises at the old Polaroid Building and adjacent areas off Boston Post Road. The Wayland Department is a member of the Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council and worked to coordinate the use of the building, prior to its demolition, for training purposes. Residents and passers-by will likely see up to one hundred police officers in full gear as they conduct various drills that are intended to simulate real events. The exercises are expected to begin at 8:00am. and conclude at 4:00pm.

Note:  updated 5/10/11 to remove May 10 from the advisory.  The venue for May 10 was changed to another location.
