Sudbury Valley Trustees' Full Moon Paddle at Puffer Pond, Assabet National Wildlife Refuge, Sudbury. Tuesday, May 17, 6:30-8:30PM
Leader: Refuge staff and SVT Office Manager Nancy Hallen. Puffer Pond is a peaceful spot to explore at the Assabet River NWR. From red-winged blackbird and osprey sightings to distant slaps of beaver tails, there is always something for paddlers to see and hear. Puffer Pond is a fairly smooth and easy place to paddle. You will paddle around and explore the shoreline and far reaches of the pond. Paddle will be limited to eight boats and a minimum age of 10 years old (all children MUST be accompanied by an adult). Paddling experience preferred. If you have a canoe or kayak, please bring it. The refuge has a few canoes to loan out that evening.
