Wayland town officials who sought to buy Sudbury’s interest in a decommissioned septage facility at a third consecutive town meeting were handed yet another defeat on the third night of annual Town Meeting on Monday. Bowing to pressure from residents who demanded a detailed plan for the 7.6-acre property before purchasing the jointly-owned building on the site, Wayland Selectman Joe Nolan asked voters to pass over Article 17.
