Help Clear the Rail Trail, Saturday, April 30

This year, our focus is to improve the connections between Wayland, Sudbury and Weston.  If we can get 20 people and $500 in donations, we can make significant progress. The photo is of a deeply rutted section filled with crusher run last spring.  Now its much easy and safer for everyone to navigate.

We will build off the work completed last year:

  • Finish filling the long rut on the Weston side
  • Clear and safeguard historic artifacts near the Wayland DepotImproved Trail
  • Brush mow the entire trail
  • Remove overgrown invasive species
  • Clear and remove trash and debris

Two ways you can help:

1) Take a morning or afternoon shift on Saturday April 30th.  Many of us will meet at the Wayland Depot at 9 am Saturday. It would be best if you could email or call Larry Kiernan so we can plan the workforce. (larrykiernan04@gmail.com or 508 358 2568).

2) Donate $25 or $50.  With an  additional $500, we can get more crusher run to fill the rut and rent two brush mowers. Send tax deductible check* to:   Town of Wayland, 41 Cochituate Road, Wayland, MA 01778.
* Note: Write "Rail Trail" in the memo section
