Friday, April 1, No Foolin’!, Indian Hill Music School, Littleton, 7:30pm

Encore Dance Ensemble presents “No Foolin'!”  – an evening of dance and music, Friday, April 1, 2011, 7:30 p.m. at the Indian Hill Music School in Littleton , MA.

Encore's first self-produced concert will feature original choreography by the six, all-female members of the company who mix modern dance with elements of jazz, ballet, and improvisation.  Encore dancers are Ann Budner, Wayland resident Paula Fiore, Patricia Koenitzer, Paula Rushboldt, Elaine Sisler, and Christine Vozella.

Special guest artists include student dancer, Rachel Swansburg, pianist,
Jill Borenstein, violinist Emma Duncan, and vocalist Jackie Berkley. Adults and families, dancers and non-dancers, will enjoy this lively, emotional, and comical blend of imaginative choreography.

Encore's performance history includes past collaborations and concerts with Studio Ballet of Hudson, Symphony Pro-Musica, A Little Night Dancing at Museum of National Heritage, the Sacred Dance Guild National Festival, Srishti Classical Indian Dancers, and interactive school shows in Acton and Beverly, MA.

Encore began four years ago, as a way for seasoned dancers to celebrate their love of dance and performance.  Encore’s philosophy in part reflects the members' desire to inspire creativity in themselves and others. They encourage personal and professional growth, and create new dances, sharing them with the communities where they live, work, and play.
