The Wayland Schools' GREEN TEAM and Wayland CleansUP!, and the Wayland High School Environmental Students are hosting an Earth Day Celebration at the Wayland DPW Building, 201 Main Street, on Saturday April 9, 2011 (rain date Sunday April 10) from 11-2. The Wayland DPW will display their new rain barrels and composters, and numerous “green” vendors and initiatives will be available to detail their missions. A town-wide clean up event will also take place with collection at the Middle School. Many activities for children and adults, plus food, will ensure that the day is fun and informative. This event is community-wide and designed to mobilize all of us to create change by taking small steps in our homes, our schools and our businesses that add up to an enormous collective action! This event is free and wheelchair accessible.
