The “Regan Cup” Charity Hockey Game benefiting Peter S. Regan Family Support Fund, C/O Wayland Local 1978, P.O. Box 5009, Wayland MA, 01778.

The Rivers Day School in Weston has generously donated 3 hours of ice time for the Regan Cup Charity Hockey Game.   We are looking for about 40 skaters and 4 goalies to do a round robin tourney between 4 teams with each game lasting 25 minutes. There will be referees and timekeepers for each game. Tim Dempsey will be organizing all players and teams, so please contact him if you have interest in playing (timdempsey77@yahoo.com). Walk-ons will not be able to play. We want all rosters to be filled with people Pete knew. Hockey experience is not a requirement to play.

In between games, there will be a 1 hour family skate open to anyone attending, skaters, fans and family. Players will have to pay $25 to play. Proceeds will cover the the cost of jerseys and go to the Support Fund. Tickets to get in the door: $10 for adults, $5 for kids, $20 max for families. All ticket proceeds go directly to the Support Fund. There will be a “Chuck a Puck” fundraiser and possibly other raffles which are TBD. There will also be a refreshment stand set up.    TIME: 5:30-9pm (ice from 6–9pm)

On November 1st, 2010, Brother Peter S. Regan, a 13-year veteran of the Wayland Fire Department, suffered a tragic accident, which would claim his life on November 3rd, 2010.
