Town budget will not require override for fiscal 2012

Wayland Town Crier 2/8/11: Town budget will not require override for fiscal 2012. The Finance Committee approved sending a $68.8 million budget to Town Meeting voters for fiscal 2012 earlier this week, which will last from July 2011 to June 2012. The committee anticipates balancing the budget within the constraints of Proposition 2-1/2 and will not seek an override at Town Meeting. Nearly 80 percent of the revenue for the budget is expected to come from tax levies within the town.
