Wayland Board of Public Works to hold Water Rate Hearing on Tuesday, February 8

The Board of Public Works will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. to review the Interim Water Rate Study Report prepared by The Abrahams Group.  The study provides information on the existing rate structure for water use and funding capital infrastructure projects, including the Baldwin Pond water treatment facility.  Members of the board are interested in receiving public comment on the report, which can be viewed under “Timely Information” on the home page of the Town’s website (go to http://www.wayland.ma.us/Pages/WaylandMA_DPW/waterreportuse.pdf).

The Board anticipates holding a second public hearing in early March on proposed water rate structure before voting on the plan.

The hearing will be held in the Senior Center at the Wayland Town Building.  All interested citizens are encouraged to attend.
