Sunday, January 23, “Honoring Haitian Culture and Courage”, St. Peter’s Church, Weston, 4-7:30pm

Weston-Wayland Interfaith Action Group (WWIAG) invites the public to a winter 'potluck' gathering "Honoring Haitian Culture and Courage", Sun. Jan. 23, 4 – 7:30 pm (snow date Jan 30) at St. Peter's Church, Weston. Event is free of charge yet attendees are encouraged to bring something to share (for details go to www.wwiag.org ).  Keynote speaker: Dr. Regine Jean-Charles, Asst. Prof, BC, on "Hearing Haitian Voices: History, Culture, Catastrophe."   Snow date: Sun. Jan. 30, 2011 (same time)

 
Our program also includes:  Musical selections and an introduction to Haiti’s foods, from NewCovenant Church, Waltham and selected art from Haiti for sale – to benefit a school in Haiti
 
 
A ‘potluck’ sign-up appears below.  We ask that you prepare something for 8-10 people.   (To respect observant Jewish/Muslim practice, please do not bring chicken, beef, pork, shellfish.)

U – Z:     juice or soda or sparkling water
