"IF YOU CAN TALK, YOU CAN SING"….   Scene- Back to school night- walking into HS child's chorus class. Nervously seated in front of a piano.  In walks Ms. Carroll, all smiles… "Please put your things down and take a nice deep breath".  "Oh no, she's going to make us sing" we realize.  "Please stand up, relax your shoulders. If you can talk, you can sing.  If you sing high, go right; men in the middle; if you sing middle to low, go left".   Three minutes later, we were singing three-part harmony.  Best part, the singing forced us to breathe, which forced us to relax, which made us all smile as we moved out the door to meet the next teacher.
 
Please, allow yourself the gift of singing- no judgment, no tryouts, just one-hour. Wednesday nights.
