Metrowest Daily News 12/25/10: Blizzard warning for MetroWest and Milford area. Early predictions were all over the map, but Saturday, the picture was clear: “There will be snow,” said Rebecca Gould, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Taunton.

By early Saturday evening, the picture clarified further with the National Weather Service posting blizzard warnings for the eastern third of Massachusetts and nearly all of Rhode Island and parts of southeastern Connecticut.

After morning flurries, heavy snow is predicted to move north Sunday afternoon and should taper off by Monday afternoon. High winds are expected in coastal areas, especially on Cape Cod.

Up to two feet of snow could fall on the MetroWest and Milford region, with the most dangerous weather expected Sunday night and early Monday.
