The Wayland Community Pool (WCP) has been operating since late November for swim teams and is scheduled to open to the public for other programs and lap swimming in January. To date, over $1.7 million has been raised through private donations. The total cost to build the new pool was $2.5 million.  According to Jeanne Downs, Chair of the WCP Pool Party Committee, “This event was a lot of fun last year and will be even better this year. This party provides a wonderful opportunity for the community
to come together, have an exciting evening and raise some of the remaining funds needed to pay for the pool. The Wayland Community Pool is a great community asset that will be used by many residents, both young and old”, continues Downs.

Several area businesses are generously making contributions to make the pool fundraiser a success. Food donations have been pledged from Whole Foods and Sudbury Farms. Kingsbury Press donated printing services for the invitations. Baldwin Insurance provided ad space to promote the event.

Wayland Community Pool is a 501(c)3 Not for Profit Corporation. Donations are tax-deductible.
