Wayland Town Crier 12/7/10: Groups want to link open space across MetroWest. Imagine if a short trail on conservation land in your town someday connected to a vast network of walkways and paths, making it possible to walk, hike or bike through nature all across MetroWest.

That’s what two regional planning groups ultimately envision as they work on a project to map the land set aside as open space in nine local towns and explore ways to link those properties. They will hold forums on Dec. 13 in Wayland and Dec. 14 in Southborough to hear ideas for linking open space in the region. The Dec. 13 forum is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Wayland Town Building.
