Wayland Town Crier 11/17/10: New president of International Society of Hip Arthroscopy. Joseph McCarthy, MD, of Wayland, director of the Kaplan Center for Joint Reconstruction Surgery at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, has been elected president of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy. Dr. McCarthy is also the vice chairman of the Department of Orthopedics at Massachusetts General Hospital.
