Sunday, November 21, Yale’s Purple Crayon Comedy Act, Wayland High School, 2pm

The Purple Crayon, an improvisational comedy group from Yale University, will be performing at Wayland High School Sunday, November 21 at 2 p.m.  Chris Lash, WHS alumnus (class of “07), is part of the comic troupe.  Widely recognized as one of America’s premiere college comedy acts, the Purple Crayon takes its name from the children’s book about a boy named Harold, who, through the use of his crayon and his imagination, creates a fantastic new world.  With the magic of improv, the Purple Crayon does exactly that.    Founded in 1985, the group has performed in such venues as New Haven’s Shubert Theater, the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, and clubs such as Improv Jacksonville.  The Purple Crayon also appears at the National College Comedy Festival at Skidmore College.  Tickets: Adults $10; Students & Seniors $7; Max. per family: $40. They can be reserved via email or purchased at the door. For more information: www.WHSArts.org. This performance is sponsored by the Creative Arts Parent Association; proceeds benefit fine arts programming at Wayland High School.
