Drama Kids accepting registrations for afterschool enrichment program

Drama Kids International classes at Loker, Claypit Hill, and Happy Hollow Schools are still accepting new registrations for this after-school enrichment activity. The classes are offered through Wayland School Community Programs and fees are prorated based on when a child joins the program.
Schedules are as follows:  Loker Kindergarten, Thursdays, 12:30 – 1:30 pm and 2:45 – 3:45 pm; Claypit Hill, Thursdays, 3:15 – 4:15 pm; Happy Hollow, Fridays, 3:15 – 4:15 pm. Programs for Happy Hollow and Claypit Hill are for Grades 1 – 5 children.

Drama Kids classes make acting fun. Classes are fast-paced and designed to help children develop skills in acting and speech. Children gain confidence, poise and self-esteem. They gain skills that help them in everyday life, like learning to work as part of a team while gaining social skills, and learning how to enunciate and speak out clearly.  Through rhythmic and expressive movement, they learn body and spatial awareness.
The curriculum includes improvisation, mini-scripts, speech training, character analysis, theater games, and creative movement.
Enrollment information is available at: dramakids.com/ma4, on the Wayland Public School district's website (www.wayland.k12.ma.us/district/district_info/ws_community_prog/community_ed.htm, and forms are also available at the WSCP display in each school.
