Denmark's tormented prince inches his way towards his fearsome destiny in Shakespeare's grand poetic tragedy, whose surpassing intensity still fascinates scholars, challenges actors, and entrances audiences after more than 400 years. Revenge, love, madness, mystery, adventure, betrayal, and honor all collide in this masterpiece of passion and grandeur, and the unparalleled beauty of its language is punctuated with explosive action. The timeless story of an anguished son avenging his royal father's murder is now known in virtually every corner of the world, and Hamlet remains as full of life and meaning today as it was when it first thrilled theatre-goers at The Globe.

"Hamlet" is the first production of the 2010-11 season at the Vokes Theatre, and the 295th production to date.
