Free Flu Shots

The Wayland Board of Health Office along with our Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) volunteers are pleased to announce our Seasonal Flu Clinics being held in the Large Hearing Room of the Town of Building. No appointment necessary. 
 
These clinics are available to Wayland residents at no charge. Please bring your insurance cards to the Flu Clinic. Insurance information will be requested at time of vaccination. However, no direct cost, co-pay or balance due will result, regardless of insurance type.
 
Clinics for residents 65 and older will be held on Tuesday, Oct 19th, Thursday Oct 21st from 1-3pm and Wednesday, October 27th from 3-7pm.  Residents between 19-64 with a high-risk health issue such as asthma, diabetes, kidney disease, etc. may also attend these clinics.
 
 Wayland Middle School students will be offered flu vaccine this month during after school activities. High School students will be offered flu vaccine at lunch time this month during the school day.
 
Flu clinics for children ages 6mos-18 will be Wednesday October 20th from 2-4pm and Wednesday October 27th from 3-7pm. Flu vaccination paperwork must be signed by the parent and children should be accompanied by an adult.
 
A Flu clinic for Healthy residents between 19 and 64 years of age will be held on Wednesday, October 27th from 5-7pm
 
Finally, the Wayland Board of Health would like to point out that getting the pneumonia vaccine is one of the best ways to prevent this serious flu complication. The pneumonia vaccine will be available during the scheduled Flu Clinics or by making an appointment with the BOH Office at 508-358-3617.
