Focus Group to meet on Senior Center Feasibility Study

At the annual Town Meeting, Wayland voters approved a Senior Center Feasibility Study to identify future needs of the Council on Aging.

The COA works with residents 60 years and older as well as younger residents with elder concerns. Twenty-five percent of Wayland’s population is 60 years of age or older.

Gary Graham of GMI Architects will serve as facilitator for a Focus Group on Wednesday, October 6 at 7pm in the Senior Center. Attendees will look at past, present and future trends of the Council On Aging. Increased life expectancies and the changing economic climate will be considered.

Participants will work in small groups to pool information, analyze and present conclusions. Focus group discussion will help to define the basis for future COA programs, services and space requirements. Results will be incorporated into the town’s Senior Center Feasibility Study.

Your input is needed. Please attend for coffee, refreshments and a very interesting evening.
