New Members Wanted for Strings Band

A new strings band for adults of all ages is being formed this fall. While a part of the Sudbury Valley New Horizons Band, the strings band will have its own director and rehearsals.  Donna Nagle is the director and she can be contacted at strings@svnhb.org.  Beginners and returnees are welcome to come play violin, viola, cello and bass.  Information meeting for all strings participants is Wednesday, September 15 at 6:30 pm in the WMS Library. The first rehearsal for string players is Wednesday, September 22nd.

The Sudbury Valley New Horizons Band is led by Diane Muffitt, Wayland Middle School band director. It is part of an international music movement. The Wayland group started in 2008 draws more than 80 participants from throughout the region; it has become one of the larger bands in the area. For information about the Wayland-based group, check out the web site at www.svnhb.org.
