Wayland Town Crier 6/3/10: Wayland author's book to become a Disney Channel movie. "Lemonade Mouth" a young-adult novel by Wayland author Mark Peter Hughes, is being turned into a made-for-TV movie to be shown on the Disney Channel next year. Filming starts in July in New Mexico under the direction of Patricia Riggen, whose resume includes the film "Under the Same Moon." Like the book, "Lemonade Mouth" the movie will tell the tale of five high school freshmen in Rhode Island who meet in detention, form a garage band called Lemonade Mouth "and proceed to change the world," says Hughes.
